Everything You Need to Know About the Poco F6 5G Launch Event

 

Poco F6 5G is set to be revealed in India later this month. The company has disclosed the launch date of the handset and given a glimpse of its design. Poco has also verified the specifics of the upcoming phone's availability. The main specifications of the phone have previously circulated in rumors. 

It is speculated to be a rebranded version of the Redmi Turbo 3, which debuted in China in April this year. The Poco F6 5G is anticipated to share the design and specifications with the Redmi model. Poco India has affirmed that the Poco F6 5G will be launched in India on May 23 at 4:30 pm IST. 

The company's social media account shared a teaser hinting at the upcoming smartphone with the tagline "God Mode On." The teaser also reveals the rear panel of the handset, displaying the camera units' placement. 

The teaser shows the Poco F6 5G with two cameras housed in separate, slightly raised circular modules alongside a ring-like flash unit. Engravings on the panel confirm the presence of a 50-megapixel camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) support. 

A dedicated Flipkart microsite for the handset has also been launched, confirming its availability on the e-commerce platform. The rear camera setup design of the Poco F6 5G mirrors that of the Redmi Turbo 3. 

The color showcased in the teaser resembles the Ice Titanium variant of the Redmi model. In China, the Redmi Turbo 3 was priced at CNY 1,999 (about Rs. 23,000) for the base 12GB + 256GB model. It is also offered in 12GB + 512GB, 16GB + 512GB, and 16GB + 1TB configurations. 

The Poco F6 5G is expected to debut in India with a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC, a 6.7-inch 120Hz 1.5K OLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection, a 20-megapixel front camera, and a 5,000mAh battery with 90W fast charging support. Recently, it was sighted on Geekbench with 12GB of RAM and an Android 14-based operating system.
