What to Expect from Apple's Upcoming iPad Mini Launch in 2024

At the recent 'Let Loose' event, Apple showcased the new iPad Pro and iPad Air lineup. Rather than updating the iPad Mini this time, Apple revealed a new Apple Pencil Pro and an enhanced Magic Keyboard. Despite this, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman believes that a new iPad mini may be unveiled by the tech giant by the end of the year.

The sixth generation iPad Mini was launched at the close of 2021. According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman (via @appltrack), the new iPad Mini is anticipated to be released "at the end of this year at the earliest." Gurman suggests that the forthcoming tablet will include a faster chip but no significant enhancements.

The upcoming model may replace the current iPad Mini 2021. The iPad Mini has not been updated since September 2021 (Review). Powered by the A15 Bionic processor, it is priced at Rs. 64,900 for the 256GB Wi-Fi version.

Speculation suggests that the seventh-generation iPad Mini could feature an A16 chip and a slightly larger display compared to the current model. Apple announced the iPad Air and iPad Pro models, in addition to the new Apple Pencil Pro and Magic Keyboard, at the recent 'Let Loose' event.

The iPad Air is now available in 10.9-inch and 13-inch display options with a Liquid Retina (LCD) screen and is equipped with an octa-core M2 chip. On the other hand, the iPad Pro boasts a 'Tandem OLED' screen and comes in 11-inch and 13-inch variants.

It is powered by Apple's M4 chip and can have up to 2TB of storage. All the new models operate on iPadOS 17. In India, the iPad Pro (2024) starts at Rs. 99,900 for the base model with an 11-inch screen, while the iPad Air (2024) begins at Rs. 59,900 for the base 11-inch model. The Apple Pencil Pro is priced at Rs. 11,900, and the new Magic Keyboard has a starting price of Rs. 29,900.
