Dive into Luxury: Tata Altroz Racer's Dual-Tone Paint Selections for Unveiled

The Tata Altroz Racer, set to be launched next month, was seen without camouflage on public roads for the first time. The test model of the Altroz Racer displayed a notable visual alteration compared to the vehicle showcased at the Bharat Global Mobility Expo in February.

In the spy shots of the Tata Altroz Racer, it was observed that the prototype maintained the dual-tone orange and black paint scheme seen at the expo, but now included diamond-cut alloy wheels similar to the standard Altroz.

Initially, the Altroz Racer had dark chrome/black alloy wheels during its debut in February. In a previous iteration unveiled at the Auto Expo 2023, the vehicle was fitted with the same alloy wheels as the regular hatch, albeit with a blacked-out finish.

The final wheel design that will be offered is yet to be confirmed. Other exterior modifications will feature twin racing stripes on the bonnet and roof, 'Racer' badges, and a slightly updated grille.

The Tata Altroz Racer, a competitor to the Hyundai i20 N Line, will be powered by the same 1.2-liter, three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine found in the Altroz iTurbo. However, with an output of 120hp and 170Nm of torque, it will exceed the turbo's power by 10hp and 30Nm.

The Altroz Racer is expected to come exclusively with a 6-speed manual transmission. Furthermore, the car will come equipped with a new 10.25-inch touchscreen, ventilated front seats (a segment-first feature), a 360-degree camera, a heads-up display, and a voice-assisted sunroof.

These features will eventually be offered on the standard Altroz in the future. Additionally, the Racer line-up will include six airbags and ESC as standard safety features.

Positioned as the top-tier variant of the premium hatch range, the Tata Altroz Racer is anticipated to be priced between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 12.52 lakh (ex-showroom).

It will directly compete with the Hyundai i20 N Line and also contend with the turbo variants of the Maruti Fronx and Toyota Taisor.
