Tata Motors has introduced new entry-level options for the petrol and diesel variants of the Nexon. The starting price for the petrol model is now Rs. 7.99 lakh, while the diesel version starts at Rs. 9.99 lakh.
The petrol Nexon is now offered in the Smart(O) variant, and the diesel option is available from the Smart+ trim onwards. Previously, the petrol Nexon started from the Smart variant, while the diesel version was available from the mid-spec Pure variant.
Tata Motors stated that the Nexon range will now commence at Rs. 7.99 lakhs, including the Smart(O) model in the petrol lineup. The 1.5-litre Revotorq diesel engine is now offered in the Smart+ and Smart+ S variants, starting at Rs. 9.99 lakh.
These updates aim to enhance the appeal of the Nexon to a wider range of car buyers. Introducing the new Smart(O) variant has reduced the starting price of the petrol Nexon by Rs. 16,000, with the Smart variant now priced at Rs. 8.15 lakh.
The diesel variant's price has also decreased significantly, with the diesel Smart+ now priced at Rs. 9.99 lakh, down by approximately Rs. 1.2 lakh from its previous cost of Rs. 11.10 lakh. The new entry-level diesel variant is equipped with features such as a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, four speakers, reverse camera, shark fin antenna, a multi-function steering wheel, power windows, and electrically adjustable ORVMs.
The higher-end Nexon Smart+ S diesel model includes additional features like auto headlamps, an electric sunroof with voice activation, rain-sensing wipers, and more. Tata has also reduced the price of the Nexon Smart+ petrol manual variant by Rs. 31,000, now priced at Rs. 8.89 lakh.
The variant now includes a reverse camera as a new feature. Similarly, the Nexon Smart+ S variant has received a price reduction of Rs. 41,000 and is now available at Rs. 9.39 lakh.
